Compare and Contrast the Ford Expedition and Chevy Tahoe near Leesville

What matters most to you when searching for your next vehicle? Rough hewn capability? Potent performance? How about an abundance of premium amenities? With the new Ford Expedition, you get all these things, and more. Compared to rivals within the full-size class like the Chevy Tahoe, the Expedition proves it has what it takes to not just make the grade, but rather also go above and beyond the call of duty.

The Ford Expedition is adventure-ready. It's also up to most any task in or around DeRidder. That's thanks in large part to a standard twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. Making between 375-horsepower to 400-horsepower depending on the trim model you choose, the Expedition is more powerful than a Tahoe, when equipped with the standard 5.3-liter V8 engine. This base Tahoe engine makes 355-horsepower. That being said, the Tahoe is also available with a larger 6.2-liter V8.

Capability and Space

Both the Ford Expedition and the Chevy Tahoe have plenty of space for large families and groups of plenty of friends to travel comfortably throughout Fort Polk. The Tahoe, however, is availalble in seven and eight passenger configurations, while the Expedition comes with seating for eight. The cargo areas of these large SUVs also amble on, with the Expedition's offering more than 20 cubic feet - or enough for about 14-15 pieces of carry-on luggage. The Tahoe, by contrast, offers a mere 15.3 cubic feet. Of course, in either SUV, you can fold the second and third rows flat for more space, but for the best mix of passenger and cargo space, the Expedition is the obvious choice.

Safety Features

There may have once been a time when increased automobile safety meant larger chrome bumpers. There may have once been a time when airbags were a novelty. There may have even once been a time that side airbags and features like ABS were rare. That time is long gone. We are in a new age of automotive safety, and the Expedition is one of the trucks helping to lead this movement to keep passengers safer. A rearview camera and rear parking sensors are standard. The Chevrolet Tahoe also offers these features, standard. Choose the Expedition or the Tahoe, and you'll be able to get plenty of driver assistance features like lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision warning technology to help keep your Many, LA travels safer.

Infotainment is as much about user experience as it is about hardware and features. Thankfully, the Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe both offer plenty of infotainment options to keep both driver and passengers entertained. The Expedition offers available Ford SYNC® 3 technology with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Chevy Tahoe's MyLink interface also offers smartphone integration. In short, each of these SUVs has plenty of infotainment options; but without testing them out yourself, you'd be hard-pressed to realize just how intuitive you'd find the Expedition's infotainment technology.
